Can crickets (insects) is kept as a pet? All information are welcome. Do you fall in a glass jar?

Introduction Firstly you need a container to keep in .. I recommend a container large plastic, usually 68 liters size is good enough ….. you can get at any department store. To make the casing just cut the top of the container and glue in a screen with a glue gun. Then you need something for them to hide in. .. egg cartons are perfect for this .. which increases the surface area to allow them more room to run and places to hide in You also need a water source. I use a vacuum lid a container of some kind, like peanut butter lid … and cut a sponge to fit inside the lid. The sponge absorbs water and then the crickets can drink without fear of them drowned. You may also want a catch can of some sort, so you do not have to handle much if this bothers you. keeping crickets as to keep hot. The optimum temperature for crickets is about 80 degrees. They will live at room temperature but grow and reproduce much better if kept warm. I use a normal bulb for heat and light. Just hang a 100 watt bulb for its container for warm enough. Food Crickets Crickets eat a variety of grains and cereals. You you can buy commercially prepared feed or you can choose to feed them yourself from things around your house. You can feed crickets cornmeal, barley, wheat, and a variety of vegetables. You can feed them dog food, as well, but not recommended due to lack of nutritional value for your reptile which accounts for the cricket. You may want to supplement your diet with vitamins for the reptile is adequately nourished. cleaned once a week or you have to wash it that the crickets are in All you need to do is remove the bottom of the container and replace the old egg cartons. You may also want to rinse the sponge with water to keep clean as well. Every day you might want to check to make sure sponge is wet, and remove any wet food. Breeding Breeding crickets is fairly simple. Place two males and females in a container with some damp earth. 3 pairs of crickets will mature enough to raise hundreds of crickets.
