Comments Off Is Affirmative Action blatantly unfair and discrimitory against non-minorities?
I worked with an old fellow named Lonnie. When Affirmative Action passed, he was working in a Heinz Pet Food plant. They needed a new shift supervisor and his foreman wanted to give the job to Lonnie (hes a good mechanic and had seniority) but Affirmative Action stopped it.
The foreman said “I’m sorry Lonnie, I wanted you to be the maintenance supervisor but I have to give it to a black man.”
Yes, and i feel its a form of racism. You are being judged by the color of your skin, and not by your character. Al sharpton and jesse jackson keep racism alive.
