Should I still move?

My boyfriend and I found a new apartment we like, allows our pets and has a place to hook up a washer and dryer in the unit. It’s within walking distance of where I work, the grocery store, WalMart, pretty much everywhere you can walk to. However, I just recently found out about ApartmentRatings.com, and found out it doesn’t have very good ratings. A lot of complaints were about parking lot lights being burnt out, cars being broken into, thin walls, and bug problems. I’m wondering if we’re making a big mistake wanting to move in here now? There weren’t very many good reviews. Also, I realize that a lot of people go on there to post because they’re angry at the time, and some people will post multiple times (in fact, quite a few seemed to be the exact same complaint with the exact same spelling errors just phrased differently). I’m just afraid this will be a stupid mistake? We’ve already been approved and will move in on May 19. Let me know what you think we should do!

i’ve been really mad at my landlords, but i still think it’s an overall good place to live. if i were to put all the problems i’ve had on that website, this place would look unfit for human living.

if you’ve been in the building and like it, go for it. cars will always get broken into, no matter where you are, and bugs happen. you never know if the people writing the posts are exagerating or not. you can always move again.

if the place is bug infested and unsafe and you break your lease, trust me, the courts will find you in the right as logn as the owners of the building were aware of the problems and did nothing.

Shame on you Walmart!
