What is the best hunter pet for PVE in the 3.3 patch for World of Warcraft (WoW)?

i was wondering what’s the best hunter pet for a lvl 80 hunter in pve, and if there’s a specific one of the type then please tell me! as in if it’s a cat, the name of the cat or something like that
also…if anyone knows, i’m currently gearing up in surv (i’ll switch to mm when i’m more geared) so anyone know what the best shot rotations are for surv and mm for pve?

Hey, the best pet is still the Wolf, of which you can tame in Storm Peaks. Check out my hunter for the best specs for both MM and SV when you are just starting out. Hunters don’t use a shot rotation, instead we use a shot priority list, of which they are:

SV:
Kill Shot
Explosive Shot
Black Arrow
Serpent Sting
Aimed/Multi Shot
Steady Shot

MM:
Kill Shot
Serpent Sting (Use this to start off with, and Chimera Shot will refresh it each time)
Chimera Shot
Aimed Shot
Arcane Shot
Steady Shot
