Puggles, where can I find a reputable breeder in san diego?, ie: no mills, pet stores etc.?

I want a healthy dog and do not want to contribute to mills, and don’t trust backyard breeders….is there a puggle club of san diego around for references?

Here’s the thing, puggles are not breeds.

Both the Beagle Club and the Pug Club DO NOT allow any of their members to cross breed their dogs.

Here is the Pug Club stance: http://www.pugs.org/Puggles.htm

I can’t think of a single reason that anyone with a quality dog would allow them to be bred with a different breed.

If you like pugs, get a pug.

If you like beagles, get a beagle.

Here is a young Pug Beagle mix in Huntington Beach: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9676778

Here’s a 3 y.o. Pug Chihuahua mix in Spring Valley: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9652717

And a 3 month old Terrier/Pug: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10350826

Otherwise, keep an eye on http://www.petfinder.com to see if a mixed breed with that background comes in. More and More are.

With a Beagle winning Westminster, they will be turning up everywhere – especially in shelters. Mixes should start turning up more and more in shelters within 18 months.
