Anyone out there looking for something to invent? For an invention idea?

I am not an inventor but I have an idea for an invention. I’ve been disturbed recently by all of the deaths of children forgotten tethered down in their car seats this summer who have died an awful death. My idea is for some kind of device which could detect when a carseat is too hot/cold and set off an alarm when either threshold is reached. It would have to have some sort of pressure feature to detect if enough weight (ie child) was in the seat – otherwise cars all over the parking lot would have screaming alarms going off. It would be most marketable if it were possible to be on new carseat models or retrofit on old models. And if it worked for children it could even be reconfigured to be put on pet’s collars. Do you think that this idea is possible? Is there anyone out there who would seriously try to develop something like this?

Wow! This must be a real problem……I had the same idea a week ago. There are so many parents leaving their children in these hot cars! I was thinking some kind of either motion detector, or whatever they use to find people under rubble after earthquakes(maybe have it installed in the car?) I also have been disturber and can’t help but wonder,”What the hell is wrong with these parents that do this?” I just don’t remember this going on when I was growing up……This would be an excellent invention!
