How do I ask my mom for a ferret?

I REALLY want a ferret. It’s my perfect pet according to some quiz. I have found a cute ferret up for adoption, (free) and I have made a wish list set up on pets mart with EVERYTHING I need, and I’ve even thought found the perfect place for him! I’m still worried she’ll say no. Partly cuz of the costy supplies, partly cuz she said that our three cats would scare a hamster literally to death. (apparently that happened to her sister’s hamster…) Just suggest what I should say and stuff please. Thanks!

Just ask her, she’s you mom, not a monster…. I know it’s hard when you really want something and scared of the answer being no. Try testing the water first. Mention ferrets and see her reaction…..

Or ask for something that you definitely know the answer is going to be no to. Then keep going on and on, then mention ferrets. That’s how I got my first ferret. I kept asking for an Iguana, then asked for a ferret. Then I said it was one or the other, I got the ferret lol……It’s worth a try.

On the more serious note. Two ferrets are best kept together,they need company. Two doesn’t cost a lot more to keep. They can live upto 15yrs old, so you’ve got to think will your mom look after them should you go to college/uni? Have you got time to give it 2-4hrs everyday play time? What happens when you go on holiday, ppl don’t mind popping in to feed cats but can be more reluctant with ferrets, so u may have to find ferret boarding in your area which can cost about £3.30 a day for 2 ferrets.
