Free Pets In Ct

My mother was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma last summer.?
She had six chemotherapy treatments, the last being in November. A study PET in December showed no cancer and was declared cancer-free. Now, her white blood cell count (WBC) is reduced and the physician ordered a CT scan. He said a low WBC is normal after chemotherapy, but not after 4 months (may be that wrong?). However, he is sure there is nothing to worry about. So why the test is ordered? Is it purely CYA? Get your mom's results this Thursday. She is very quiet, but I'm going crazy with worry! Does anyone have any experience with this? Does anyone know anything? If it helps, the mother is 80 years old.
Yes, it's CYA. I hope it remains free of cancer.
