Should I be jealous he signed his ex’s cards “love you baby”?

I am just recently engaged. Been living with him for about 8 months. Soon after we became exclusive he started calling me baby. I love it! I was in an abusive marriage for 16 years and the only names I was ever called are not nice. His name for me made me feel special. His ex left over 3 years ago. They talk because of he children. I know when she left she left alot of personal items. Most of them have been burned. She asked me if I would look and see if I could find her baby album. So I was out in the shed looking and found a box of pictures and personal items. I found a card he signed it love you baby. Just as he signed mine. He told me that I am his only true baby. Should he have called me another pet name that didn’t link to someone else?

this guy is sad. who knows how many girls he called those same names? if he thinks youre special, he should call you something different.
