You've decided you want a pet. Now itâ € ™ s time to decide what kind of pet you want. The first thing to do is assess what kind of pet owner you will be. Want to be a lazy owner who does not provide good care of pets or you are a very active work is carried out with the pet on a daily basis? Be honest with your answer and select a pet based on its decision.

Lazy pet owners should not have a pet asset such as a Jack Russell or Labrador. These dogs have a tremendous amount of energy and need to channel that into something. That could be a walk of 3 to 4 miles or could be chewing your sofa. The energy to go somewhere.

If you admit that it would be better with something that does not require much time and choose more docile as a pet a cat or small mammals. You and your pet will be much happier with the level of pet care you can provide.

Where you live can play an important role in its decision also new pet. Do you live in an apartment? Do you allow pets? If so, you probably will walk a dog on a leash at all times, even in the middle of the night if you had to go to the bathroom. Will you have to stay inside the apartment all day while you are at work? A cat or goldfish might be a better choice for you if this does not sound like a good idea.
