How can a hunter pet in WoW?

I just started playing wow, and I am a dwarf hunter, I tried to find a guideline, but these really give me simple instructions like go to the "dark earth" that I do not even know where he is. Okay first you have to get to Lv.10 then go see your trainer in the second city and going to accept the mission. This search has to master three wild beasts with a dressage whip. Each time you master one hand, you have to go talk to the coach and then tell you to get a different animal to get rid of domesticated and just keep doing that until its third animal taming, go talk to him and He will give you the ability to master permenatly.
