Do not get your pet microchips really help?

I live in the country and really worry about my lost dog. She is an indoor dog, but sometimes leaves or leaves his neck. She always wears his identification tags, but what else is there I can do now to make sure if you ever miss which is returned safely?

All shelters and veterinary facilities to scan any new dog for a microchip. Above all, a refuge. If they have a microchip number can call a 1-800 telephone line, with the number and obtain information about the owner. I am a veterinary technician in the PA, once someone brought a new dog and the dog for a microchip scan, that the owner did not know that was a pet. He said the dog is free of a newspaper. The dog ran belonging to a lady in South Carolina! She had no idea the dog had disappeared because the son is supposed to be the care of her. The son ended losing the dog and how the dog is clear to the PA is a mystery …. However, the original owner of the new owners let the dog. However, occur strange things. Microchips provide a permanent identification for life.
