pet is dead wow

When I first started playing arena, I didn’t know any WoW arena strategies to begin with. I couldn’t escape the embarrassing 1500 rating and seeing this rating nobody even wanted to play with me. A friend of mine recommended me a PvP guide which, he said, taught him a lot about arena. In this article I will reveal a few of the powerful WoW arena strategies and setups I have learnt myself.

2v2 Setup – Mage/Rogue

This is a powerful setup, concentrated on full DPS and crowd control. Since none in the team has any healing, the crowd control must be used at maximum. Also, before the battle begins, the mage must give food the his team mate, just in case. For this type of setup it’s best that both, the mage and the rogue have DPS PvE equipment for a high damage burst, playing the defense card on their crowd control. They both must move very fast and have excellent reflexes, because in a full DPS team, there is no room for mistakes, once damaged, your health remains damaged.

WoW Arena Strategy for Mage/Rogue

The rogue rushes out with his sprint on and saps one opponent, immediatley starting DPS (with stunlock) on the other one. The mage assists the rogue and if the sapped one uses his trinket, the mage must sheep right away. By the time the sheep effect is gone, the first target should be dead. If there is a paladin in the other team, he is the target to begin until he bubbles up. When he does, rogue uses cloak of shadows and vanish and mage, invisibility. When the bubble passes, just re-open on the paladin and kill him.

As a DPS team, it is important to attack first, the one that has the weakest defenses and CC the other one, regardless which one is the healer.

3v3 Setup – Holy Paladin/Arms Warrior/Death Knight (blood)

This is a powerful heavy setup, very resistant both to melee and spell damage. For this heavy plated team, both resilience equipment or DPS PvE gear works just fine in arena. Facing a heavy plated setup like this any team will lose a little bit of faith in winning the match.

As entering the arena, both the warrior and the death knight must aim at the opponent with the weakest defense (as rogue, druid in cat form, shadow priest). If meeting another heavy armored team, the target is the healer. The paladin stuns the target then the DPSers must use all their damage boosting abilities they have on that target, warrior uses Bladestorm and the death knight his Dancing Rune Weapon. If paladin gets heavy damage, just use the bubble. Once an opponent is “cold”, the match is already won, since the team has increased resistances, especially to melee.

5v5 Setup – Holy Paladin/Holy Paladin/Retribution Paladin/Unholy Death Knight/Unholy Death Knight

This must be the most frightening setup that I have ever seen on 5v5 since WotLK was released. I have seen a team with this setup having an astonishing record of of wins 116 – 1 losses. Not only that the 3 damage dealers are considered to be overpowered at the moment, the death knights have 2 additional DPSers as their pets. Those 2 pets alone can kill a rogue for example. Also, the group has 3 bubbles which once more is very discouraging for any opponent team. The only disadvantage of this setup is the lack of crowd control.

For this kick-ass setup there is not such an extraordinary WoW arena strategy. Having two bubbles your healing has improved resistance which is automatically transferred to the group. Alternating the bubbles will also make the other team change between targets and burning their cooldowns. Basically, for this setup, the main target is the weakest armored healer, then the other healer. When at least one of the healers is dead, the match is already won.

These are only a few of the WoW arena strategies that I have learnt about using the PvP guide the my friend recommended to me. I have also learnt that no matter what arena setup you’re playing with and no matter how good you are it’s the team that matters and you can only improve the team’s gameplay by practice. No matter how good is each individual player in a team, if they don’t learn to synchronize their moves, the respective team will lose.

You can find many other WoW Arena Strategies for any setup in one of the PvP guides I am using. I have analyzed and put to the test all top quality PvP guides out there and I have also made this review for the Best WoW Arena Guides.
