Do you think Congress should pass a Scarlet Letter Law?

I think the problem with America today is the fact that the “traditional family” does not exist. Did you know that in the state of Maryland and a lot of other states, if you are found guilty of Adultry, it’s a simple $10.00 fine. LOL, that’s right a ten dollar fine. Yet it destroys a marriage, puts financial strain on the estranged couple, causes children to be tossed around like bargaining chips, often leads to emotional breakdown of one if not both partners, and much much more. Yet in every tabloid, this movie star is sleeping with that one, he’s cheating on her, she’s leaving him for this other man. What ever happened to “Till death do us part”? I’ll tell you what happened to it, as a society we failed the marriage. We allow people to get away with adultry, when I think there should be a Scarlett letter law and attached to it, a punitive damage fine in the amount of $250,000 per child, and/or household pet, and $250,000 to the other spouse. As well as public humilliation!!!

No I don’t think that congress should or would for that matter. If they did, they would not like some of the skeletons that are bound to come out of their own closets!

I understand where you are coming from though– I also feel a lot of resentmt in your answer. I hope this did not happen to you.
