A friend of mine lost her dog giving birth, Can you help me with what to write on the Sympathy Card?

I have never had to write a sympathy card for a loss of a pet or a loved one for that matter so I am at a loss on what I should write in the card.
Please help!

I should clear it up, the dog died giving birth to 4 puppies not my friend.

Just say something like “It’s never easy to lose a friend.” Meaning her dog was her friend. Or “heaven is a little brighter now”, just talk from your heart.
