I am looking for people in the Columbus Ohio area that would be willing to help a red Iguana @ a local pet store. He is in desperate need of medical attention.
All efforts threw the pet store have failed they do not care =-/
Mouth rot , starving to death.
They Know he is sick, They just won’t do anything about it. I told them I would buy him for half price. They want 100.00 for him and won’t lower the price even though I told them he may not even recover because he is in such bad shape.
It don’t help he is in a very small cage as well.
i am sorry to say i cannot help. this is the reason i do not buy animals from pet stores. as much as it hurts the animals and you i do not believe in buying wounded or sick animals from anyone. i will however take in any neglected reptile. if you buy it you are just confirming that these pet stores do not need to care for their animals and they will still make a profit.
what i suggest instead is get your local SPCA involved in removing this neglected animal from their care. then adopt it from them. put your money to a good cause
in my opinion it is better to let the animal die than to pay someone to be ignorant i know it hurts but we cannot let pet stores continue to do this i am truly sorry
