What, if anything, can be done by an animal of age with dementia?

My dog is almost 17. It is in fair health and quality of life is good. She seems to have some cognitive problems that I think dementia. Shes gets stuck in certain places, areas sometimes roams the house if things are not "correct" for her, you forget the hand signals, and has accidents in the home regularly. Can anything be done about it? I play with it every day, but as it is just a pet, it is impossible to determine how severe or what to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

yet thanks to the care of his dog in his senior year. I am so "if you own a pet that you own for life …… my dog is 9 years old and has heart failure.i congestive hear thats Comma in poodle puppies .. i, I'm giving my dog all that love can until that day when he or passed so badly that make desision hard ….. good luck to you and God bless —
