I want to get a Maltese puppy but I have no idea where here in New York City…Anyone knows?

I’m really interested in getting a puppy, All along I thought about a Yorkie, but as I researched for small dogs I found the Maltese breed and I fell in love with it, I think they’re just adorable and perfect for me as well (I live in an apartment so a small dog like this one is just what I need)

I live in New York City, in The Bronx to be exact and I haven’t seen such puppies at the pet stores around where I live, does anyone have experience with buying from a pet shop here in NYC?

Never buy from a pet shop their dogs come from puppy mills and along with the high price tag, come health issues and the cruelty animals suffered to produce and transport them there.
