C’mon PPL ANSWER MY QUESTION OR THERE ISN”T GOING TO BE A BEST ANSWERER!!!!!that i pick LOL
I don’t really have a preference for breed, I love them all. I have a bit of a weakness for abbys because my first little guy was an abby.
Definitely do not buy a pet store cage. They are very small and very expensive. You can build a huge, cheap cage that will make your pigs very happy. Mine loves his big cage and runs laps around it.

Don’t buy a guinea pig from a pet store. Many stores sell animals that came from mill situations where they get improper care, housing and attention. You can adopt from a shelter or a rescue and know that you are saving lives. The rescue will also be able to give you information on where to buy supplies.
I have a Bosleys in my area and they are fantastic. They don’t sell animals and are generally willing to order in supplies. If you can’t get Oxbow pellets at a store try ordering online:

I buy my hay through a rabbit rescue, but I’ve also bought by the bale from a farmer. A bale is much cheaper but I don’t have space to store one in my apartment.
Good luck from a fellow Canadian
